Fishing in Tännäs

There is something special about winter fishing. Imagine lying on a soft reindeer skin. The strong late winter sun makes the ice on Lake Lossen sparkle a little more. The wait can be long, but who can complain about a nature experience like this? The thrill of winter fishing is hard to put into words. Somewhere down there under the ice it swims. Soon there might be that magical jolt when the fish bites the hook. The feeling is indescribable.

Tännäskröket and Funäsfjällen attract many winter fishermen as it is considered one of Sweden's best areas with many and varied fishing waters. Many of these waters are easily accessible by ski or snowmobile directly from our cottages.

Tännäs is widely known for its grayling. The grayling is even so common that it has become Härjedal's national fish. It is perfect for winter fishing and a fun challenge even for the experienced fisherman. Trout fishing is also very popular, and there are also char.
