A fireplace and gathering place

In the past, people would gather around the fire to eat and socialise. When the restaurant was named, it was therefore called Árran, which means fireplace in Northern Sámi. Today, Árran is a meeting place for taking a coffee break, celebrating life with weddings and birthdays, the first turns on the slopes or the day's fine fishing catch.

With ingredients from Norrland in general and Härjedalen in particular, classic dishes are prepared in a modernist style. Relaxed, genuine, honest, simple, and environmentally conscious. Preferably in close collaboration with local producers such as Härjebrygg, Jillie Ren & Vilt, Bruksvallarnas Rökeri, some pimplers and the occasional hunting dog.
