Tännäskröket is a family-owned mountain resort in Funäsfjällen, western Härjedalen. A year-round facility where the focus is on the personal treatment and care of our guests, staff and surroundings, in whole and in detail, to create the genuine and personal mountain experience.
Here you will find exclusive mountain houses, apartments, camping, restaurant and sports hire. We have lifts on two mountains with skiing on 17 slopes as well as cross-country tracks and snowmobiling.
In summer and autumn, Funäsfjällen offers a wide range of activities such as hiking, fishing, canoeing and cycling, as well as visiting the musk oxen in their natural environment.
Sports Director
Tännäskröket is a unique mountain resort in western Härjedalen and part of Funäsfjällen. Here, magnificent nature, tranquillity and architect-designed accommodation meet with activities and experiences right outside the door. The resort offers cabins and apartments, the Árran restaurant, sports hire and a sports shop. With activities on two mountains, there is skiing on 17 slopes, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling - and in summer and autumn we offer hiking, fishing, canoeing, climbing and cycling.
Are you passionate about skiing, quality and service? We are now looking for a structured and driven Sports Director who want to develop our activity centre together with us.
About the roles
As Sports Manager, you are responsible for running and developing the ski resort's sports products and activities linked to the activity arena and sports shop and sports hire. The goal is to offer the highest possible quality, safety and guest experience on the slopes, the ski school and our winter and summer activities.
The role also includes responsibility for sports shops and ski hire, as well as staff and budgetary responsibility in these areas.
Main responsibilities
Strategic development
- Develop sports shop and sports hire
- Develop the resort's activity centre, ski school, events, competitions and activities
- Build and develop partnerships with ski clubs, groups and other partners
Staff responsibilities
- Recruitment, induction and training
- Staff scheduling and management
Guest experience & quality
- Ensuring a high level of service and safety
- Follow up on guest feedback and drive improvement actions
Rental & sports shop
- Purchasing and pricing.
- Ensuring the right range and maintenance of rental equipment
- Developing co-operation with suppliers and partners
Budget & results
- Budgetary responsibility for sports shop and ski hire
- Profit and loss responsibility for lift and operations together with the Lift and Operations Manager
Marketing & Sales
- Liaise with the marketing department to ensure clear communication of products
- Plan and follow up on sales-driving activities
We are looking for people who
Experience in management in tourism, hospitality or sports (preferably ski school) and experience in budget and personnel management.

Lift and driving instructors
The position is full-time until further notice and we are looking for you who have broad technical skills, are orderly and tidy with a sense of quality, safety and have good practical skills. You are a good learner and a good problem solver.
Tasks
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the ski area and property matters on the site. The tasks consist of planning and carrying out maintenance as well as ongoing actions on any technical problems that arise. It also includes being a supervisor for lift and property staff. You will work in close co-operation with and report to our site manager and be part of the Tännäskröket management team
Profile of
We are looking for you who preferably have previous experience of working at a ski resort, like to take their own initiative and like to keep things tidy. You are driven and solution-oriented, social and good at communicating and cooperating. You have experience in property maintenance, lift repair and maintenance or equivalent. If you are also a trained SLAO piste operator or piste machine driver, this is an advantage.
We offer a fun and varied workplace in an exciting and developing work environment, together with the team on site. As we are a fairly small organisation under strong development, you will be an important part of the company and will be involved in developing Tännäskröket together with us. The position is permanent with a probationary period, with partial weekend work during the open season and some on-call readiness. Start date by agreement but preferably as soon as possible. For a period, you will work together with our current operations and lift manager, who will go into part-time retirement, and thus have the opportunity to properly train the facility.

Waiter/café assistant, winter season
We are looking for you who have a few years of experience in serving and / or café work. We would like you to have a broad background in restaurants as the work involves both lunch and sales over the counter, table service and service during weddings and parties.
You who apply for the position enjoy the mountains, ”love” snow, preferably have a driving licence and possibly your own car. Social skills are valued more than how many plates you can carry.
Restaurant Arran is the hub and gathering point at Tännäskröket, we work in a small team and serve everything from solid home cooking to wedding dinners.
If you have experience in managing and training others, this is a plus.

Sportladan, shop assistant
We are looking for you who are driven, have a passion for service and want to give that little extra for the guest. You preferably have previous customer experience, are curious and like to take your own initiatives. You are used to working independently and are solution-oriented with the customer in focus.
Experience of rental, ski sharpening in a workshop or shop experience is an advantage, but not a requirement. You have a good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing, and have an easy time learning new systems. We place great emphasis on your personality and attitude, rather than previous qualifications.
Your main tasks are to help our customers in the shop, with sales of clothing, lift passes, and equipment hire. The rental is done on site in our shop but also via pre-booking with preparation of equipment and ski packages. In addition to working in our cash register, Visbook and Axess, workshop service of the equipment is also included as well as keeping the rental and shop in good condition.
