Tännäs is the centre for fishing in Funäsfjällen. Whether you prefer fly, spin or oak fishing, there is something for you here.
With the Rogen Nature Reserve on your doorstep, you can enjoy fantastic mountain fishing in both still and flowing waters. Here you can explore new, crystal-clear lakes and streams every day.
Funäsfjällen is one of Sweden's largest short fishing areas, with over 200 mountain lakes and 30 kilometres of flowing water. Tännäs-Funäsdalens FVO is the largest fishing area in Funäsfjällen and offers as many as 70 licensed angling waters.
Grayling, trout, perch, pike, whitefish or char?
The many fishing waters that make up the Tännäs-Funäsdalens FVO contain a large number of fish species - each with its own challenge.
Tännäs is particularly known for its grayling fishing – the grayling is even the provincial fish of Härjedalen. Trout fishing is also very popular, and you can also catch char, whitefish, and pike. The lakes around Tännäs, especially Östra and Västra Aborrvikarna, are known for their unusually large perch.
Smoke your own fish
Are you lucky with your fishing luck? Then you can smoke your catch in our own smoke here at Tännäskröket. Is there anything better than enjoying your own catch for dinner?
Tännäskrökets put n´ take
The Tännäskrökets pond is at the heart of our summer activities. Put n´take is a perfect way to discover the world of fishing, especially for children and beginners. Here we can virtually guarantee a catch, making the experience both fun and memorable. Fish from the piers or the footbridge around the pond, or hire a boat from reception.
Rods and life jackets are available for hire at reception, where you can also buy fishing licences and pay for your catch.

Fly fishing Introduction
A cosy introductory course in fly fishing where the centre's guide goes through:
- Basic throwing techniques.
- Equipment (rods, lines, poles etc.) Different fly choices for dry fly, nymph & streamer fishing.
- How to read still running water.
After the practical part, we will go into the centre where there will be coffee and a theoretical lecture!

Tuesdays 16:45
Fly fishing trip
Join us for a group trip to the Fishing Centre's private waters. Here you can try out different techniques, while lighting a fire and enjoying a coffee break. Also suitable for the experienced fly fisherman.
Coffee is included and fly fishing rods are available to hire or buy in the shop.
Time: 16.45 - 21.00.

Fishing trip
Join Tännäs Fishing Centre's own fishermen and discover the fishing waters selected for the day! Fish with any method fly, spin and mete etc.
Coffee and snacks over an open fire are offered.
