Canoeing - through untouched wilderness
Paddling around Tännäs
The proximity of fine paddling waters and the magnificent and untouched nature makes the canoe the perfect means of travel when you want to get a little closer to nature.
Experience nature in slow motion with a canoe trip along the beautiful Ljusnan or paddle around among the small lakes at Käringsjön which further leads out to Rogen. The options in the Rogen nature area are many but you will have to carry the canoe on some stretches. The long, narrow lake Langtjønna between Feragen and Femunden offers the opportunity to spend the night in the old rafts and see the old timber gutters.
CANOE SAFARI
In cooperation with Strapatser we can offer canoe safaris along the Ljusnan. The canoe trip is about 8 km long and takes about 5 hours.
The canoes are put in at Flon and the tour ends at Bruksgården/Funäsdalen. We stop for lunch at one of the beautiful sandy beaches. The menu includes local specialities such as reindeer, elk or precious fish.
We paddle through beaver and trout country and if you have a fishing permit you can go fishing. If we are lucky and really quiet when we pass the beaver huts, there is a good chance of seeing one of the inhabitants.
